Pass Plus Course – Is It Worth It? The Pass Plus course has now been going for many years. It is actively promoted by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency(DVSA) and driving instructors alike. Insurance companies used to offer very generous discounts to those drivers who had completed the course. However, these discounts are now reducing and becoming less common. In this article I want to share my experiences and feedback I have had from my pupils at my driving school to help you make a more informed choice about the course. Firstly I should explain what the course covers.
If your son/daughter is taking lessons with us you may want to consider taking them out for some extra driving practice. I encourage this as all practice will help but you need to bear in mind certain points before you consider this option. The main things to remember are : – To accompany a learner driver on public roads you must have held a full driving license for the category of vehicle being driven for over 3 years and be at least 21 years old.
